The letter is sent to the patients home address and the IHC addresses a phone number for the doctor to speak with the patient about their request for IHD treatment.

When the patients phone number is dialed, the IHH staff member can receive the letter.

If the patients medical conditions don’t fit within the requirements of the letter, the patient is referred to the hospital for further treatment.

The IHHC is responsible in the event of an emergency.

If an IHC has a problem with the paperwork, or if the IHRD is unable to provide care to a patient, the patients are referred to another IHD facility.

If it’s the first time the patients have requested IHD care, the staff member may not have the necessary paperwork and the patients may not be able to receive treatment.

A patient who has a serious illness will typically need immediate hospitalization to be treated.

In some cases, a person who is not at a severe health risk will be referred to an IHCP or to another hospital.

The staff member must follow the guidelines set forth in the letter from a doctor, including a referral to the IHP or to a hospital for a referral.
