In case of a serious cold, the doctor can prescribe a cocktail of medicines for the treatment.
The medicines can include steroids, cold-water, antibiotics, anti-inflammatory, cold compress and anti-tussle.
They can be taken daily or on an emergency basis, depending on the severity of the condition.
The treatment for cold is administered using the nasogastric tube, which is a tube with a mouthpiece that fits into the mouth.
This tube is inserted into the throat and allows the patient to swallow medicine and drink fluids.
The patient then swallows air through the tube.
It is then administered intravenously.
The doctor prescribes a range of different medicines, such as steroids, ibuprofen, cough and cold compress.
The doses can vary from 5 grams of ibuprafen to 10 to 20 grams of cold compress, according to the medical practitioner.
The amount of medicine can vary between 200 to 400 milligrams.
A patient needs to be in a good state of health, and he/she is allowed to have any number of medicines prescribed, according the doctors’ guidelines.
A patient must have a history of flu-like symptoms such as fever, cough, runny nose, cough or sore throat.
They also need to be comfortable.
The patient should also take a vitamin, such to take a calcium and iron pill, to prevent any side effects from the medicines, said a senior official of the Department of Medical and Health Sciences.
A person who has not received any treatment should be taken to a hospital immediately for examination, the official said.
The hospital is responsible for ensuring that the patient is comfortable and has sufficient supplies of medicines and water, he added.
A person who is in a critical condition should not have any medicine prescribed, said the senior official.
A good patient will be taken for a few hours in the ward to allow him/her to get accustomed to the environment, and to monitor his/her condition, he said.
